OOTD: Uni Day

Hi, I did say I was going to do a review next but I just haven't got round to it yet. I don't have Uni tomorrow so I should hopefully have chance to do one then. But for now here was my OOTD.
At the moment I don't have a camera, I was going to ask my friend to take pictures at uni but we were so busy I just didn't have chance so for now it it is crappy pictures from my phone and mirror angle!
Because I have just got back from Uni a lot of my make up has faded and my hair has become messed up by the wind so no face showing either. Next time I do an OOTD, I will be more prepared! I was in a rush this morning so this I what I thrown together and I loved it!

Liebster Award Nomination

Hi, so I have been nominated for the Liebster award by my friend, and I have seen this around a lot and it's nice as it gets you to know the blogger a little better, so I thought I would give it a go :)

First thank you to my Best Friend Glitter and Trauma for nominating me <3

"The Liebster Award is given to blogs with under 200 followers by other bloggers.
There's a few rules:
1. List 11 facts about yourself.
2. Answer the 11 questions given to you.
3. Ask 11 new questions for the bloggers you nominate for the award.
4. Choose as many bloggers as you want with 200 or less followers to nominate.
5. Go to each blogger's page and let them know about the award.
6. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog."

11 facts about myself:
1- I'm a vegetarian, I have been for just over a year now and I'm so proud of myself and I have become slightly crazy about it and animal testing products now.
2-I'm from Middlesbrough in the north east of England so when I'm at Uni I get the piss taken out of my accent constantly.
3- I'm hoping to become a successful actress on day.
4- I am currently studying a foundation degree in Acting at Dmu, after this I want to move to London and go to stage school and get an agent.
5- I'm obsessed with watching musicals or anything on the stage!
6- The place I feel most comfortable is on a stage or sometimes in front of a camera. I love working in the theatre's at uni because I can feel more relaxed and comfortable in class.
7- My Grandad is my world and I will hopefully get a small tattoo of his initial/'s one day. For me to get a tattoo is a HUGE thing to even say never mind actually getting it!
8- On my 18th birthday party I raised money for Alzheimer's Society because my Grandad has it. Its the worst thing ever when he forgets who you are and watching him get confused easily, so I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
9- My best friend ever is called Emily, I am one week older than her so we have been best friend our whole 19 years of life! (I call her my little sister, even though she has always been more mature and taller than me) Emily has just started her training in the Army and I am sooo proud of her!
10- I am a very positive person which I get of my Mum. She always seems to find a positive in everything that happens and she is my hero!
11- I went to a dance school from the age of 3 to 16, I did Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Modern. I have competed in competitions all my life and have competed in the British and English Dance Championships for 3-4 years before I left. I was never the best dancer but I loved it regardless!

My Questions given to me:

1. Do you have any middle names and is there a reason behind them?
My middle name is Rose. I got given this because my Grandma's name is Rosemary.
I love my name and now I seem to have an obsession with roses!
2. What makes you happy?
Lots of things make me happy but that's me being positive. Musicals and shows make me
so happy and acting on a stage and feeling the applause from the audience is the best
feeling in the world. The thing that makes me the most happy is seeing close friends and
family smile and be happy themselves!
3. Do you have any fears and why?
Haha, what am I not afraid of? I have a fear of animals, Dogs being the worst. I have
gotten better than when I was little when I would just scream and cry if I saw one, at least
now I can acknowledge that they are cute (from a distance). I also really hate butterfly's
and I will admit to screaming and running away from them time to time. I'm weird I
     know!
It all sounds stupid considering I'm a vegetarian but its true.
I am petrified of the dentist and physically wont go without my mum. And needles!! I will
scream and cry like a baby if i am anywhere near them bad boys!
4. What are your hopes and dreams for your future? Career of just general life...
As I said before, I really want to become an actress. I would do anything to act all day
long on a TV or movie set! The West End, It's such an inspiring place and I would love to
be apart of it as well.
5. What's your perfect idea of relaxing?
Drinking Hot Chocolate in bed with a Disney movie on! Check out my essentials for a cozy
night in blog post! It's all in there!
6. Favourite coffee house? What's the best drink? You know it's a Costa skinny sugar free hazelnut hot choc!
Clearly this was written by one of my best friends as it is a Costa skinny hot chocolate with
sugar free hazelnut syrup! It's Amazing and everyone needs to try it!
7. One of your happiest memories?
I don't know the answer to this as I like to think my life was filled with loads of happy
memories! However meeting Minnie Mouse at Disney Land Florida when I was 6 is right
    up there!
8. Go to item of clothing?
A very boring answer but Leggings. They are so easy to just put on and make an outfit. I
use the M&S legging that are around £7-£8, I love them because they are thick so
nothing can be seen and they have lasted me much longer than others have in the past.
9. What has been your best fashion/beauty bargain?
Not sure, I'm quite good at looking for bargains and sale stuff. I would have to say my
best bargain was a Leather jacket originally from River Island so imagine the original
price! I got it of Ebay for £10! I love it as well and it was the best buy ever!
10. What beauty item would you recommend to the blogger world?
The beauty item I would recommend is Feeling Younger from Lush, It's a skin tint that
you can put on almost as a highlighter before foundation. It gives your whole face this
       glow and I love it!
11. What was your most recent random act of kindness? (Text your best friend randomly and tell her you love her... Go on)
I think my recent act of kindness was when me and my friend were walking to Uni the
other day and a girl dropped her glove so we picked it up and ran after her. :) also I text
my best friend I love her everyday anyway ;)

My 11 Questions for you:
1- What is your favourite fashion item?
2- If you won the lottery what would you spend it on?
3- What was your most recent act of kindness?
4- Do you have any hobbies apart from Blogging?
5- Whats your biggest fashion/beauty regret?
6- Who is your hero/idol?
7- What Beauty or Fashion item would you recommend?
8- Whats your favourite thing to do?
9- Does you blog name have a significant reason? What is it?
10-Whats your favourite season for fashion? and Why?
11- Valentines Day is coming up, what is your dream gift?

I nominate...

Haul: Time to Organize

Hi again, so yes to hauls in a row but this haul is slightly different. No fashion or beauty involved :(
kind of  ?
I went shopping today and I have found some really cute things make my room more organised and tidy.
I'm also so proud for keeping a theme going with everything I bought and I cant wait to put them up and have everything in order.
I have two bedrooms, one at home and one at uni, I am staying in student halls this year so my room isn't very big at all so I hope these help make it look more spacious. Also I'm counting on these on helping me every time I have to move and make me feel more at home in a new place. Guess I should start to show what I bought!

So in my town there some fun and cute little shops that sell quirky stuff and we went into one today called Set by Design and I saw this. It is exactly what I wanted for my jewellery. I have so much jewellery that this has the right amount of hooks on it to hold most things, I think it is so cute and I love it. It's better that it can stand up as well because I'm not allowed to create holes in the wall if for example I wanted hanging hooks.
At the top of the stand the bar has broken. However this made the price go from £12 to £7. It does not matter to me about this flaw as will be easy for me to cover up and potentially fix it. For £7 it was a bargain as we saw plain ones slightly more expensive and not worth it.
This also set my theme of with the colour White, Love Hearts, and Birds.
This next item I got was from the same shop. Even though it is not white it is a very light grey and it is woven into hearts. I love this and I was thinking of using this to keep hair stuff such as straighteners, curlers, hair brush and anything else that I come across.
It was only £3 and I couldn't resist because it will become so handy and will definitely keep more things organised. Also, £3? Who wouldn't say no?
The most trouble I seem to get is when my make-up is all over my desk making it look messy and cluttered which makes me lose stuff so often. I wanted something cute and a good size to just hold all of my make-up. I found this White metal love heart shaped basket in the home section at Next for £6. It is perfect for what I want it for and at such a good price. I cant wait to start using this.
I also got this cute candle holder from Next as well. I wont use this as a candle holder and more something for my jewellery such as rings or earrings. I haven't decided yet.
This stood out to me as it matches my theme perfectly and I'm positive it will come in useful.
This little gem was £3.

This is a gorgeous pencil holder and magazine file set from Paperchase. The pencil holder wont be used for pens or pencils as I already have one but I will use this for make up brushes so they will be neat and tidy and still wont get lost in my new basket. It is a white metal with a flower and birds cut out. My make up brush holder was £5.
The magazine or folder file wasn't something I was planning on buying but it will come in handy so much as I have random paper, notebooks, files and stuff that I have tried to set in the corner of my desk but still becomes cluttered. I'm hoping this will help keep them in order and out the way and make my life slightly easier. The file holder was £15. It was a bit more then I wanted to pay but I think it will be worth it.

In Next I also saw a gorgeous white lamp with birds on it for only £18. I didn't buy it but it is definitely on my mind as it will work well and make the room seem more homely.
So today was a success on getting my new things to help me out with jewellery and make up etc.
I also found out today that I should hopefully be going home a week on Friday for a full week. so I'm really happy. I love university but I do miss my Mummy and Daddy and maybe someone special ;)

I have also been nominated for the Liebster awards so that post should come up next then some reviews should be coming very soon :) If you know anyone you would like me to nominate for the award let me know so I check out yours and their blog :)

Do you have stuff like these to keep your room organised? If not, what do you use? Let me know?
Thanks for reading :)

Haul: 20% off in New Look

Hi, so today at uni the fire alarm went off so we had to go outside, but instead of going back inside went we could, my class (a group of 9) stayed outside and a snowball fight! It was soo much fun! I was amazing, I got my friend in his "private area." He never got the chance to get me back either so I better watch out, but I was so happy because it was the first chance I got to play with the snow this winter!  Have you played in the snow yet?

Also yesterday was the best! Walking round our mall to go to the apple shop because of broken phones me and my best friend walk past New Look. Balloons everywhere and music blasting and a huge poster saying for one day only 20% off everything for students. Being a student has great advantages!
Its safe to say I picked up some bargains.
My camera isn't the best quality so I do apologise.

So the first thing I picked up was this blazer. I have been looking at it for a while now and I'm so happy that I waited until now because I got 20% off!
The blazer is a gorgeous navy blue and white colour. The texture is nice and it is quite thick to wear. The sleeves are three-quarter but they hang at a very nice length as they are not too short. It has two pockets and has a navy blue leather lining.
I got a size bigger then me because it hung much nicer and feels more comfortable and loose to wear.
I do find that jackets, blazers or coats seem to wear much nicer when a size bigger.
 Original price: £24.99, I paid: £20

I next picked up this crop top. It is a beige colour with a grey pattern. I have seen a lot of crop tops around lately and I have never felt brave or secure enough to get one. This crop top is my first and I love this style much more then others because the neckline is lower, I feel much more comfortable with this neckline that isn't too high but isn't to low. Also, as much as this is a crop top I feel braver wearing this as it cover most of my chest without having to have too much on show. (as you can tell I'm very insecure about my body)
 Original price: £9.99, I paid: £7.99

So I wear a lot of shorts and have quite a variety, and I love high wasted in particular. But everybody needs a good old plain piece in their wardrobe. My current plain high wasted shorts are too big as I bought them off eBay and had to guess the size and I unfortunately couldn't return them. I still wore them but lately I feel more uncomfortable as I feel they make me look bigger then I actually am. I saw these yesterday and I loved them. They have a vintage look to them and I thought they would go well with my new crop top and this time I bought the right size.
Original price: £19.99, I paid: £15.99

I got this gorgeous faux leather bag in a dirty beige colour brown. I loved this a soon as I saw it. It is very spacious and will fit a lot of things inside, it also has two straps, one smaller handbag type one and a long adjustable strap. I'm usually very picky about straps on a bag and both of these are are and can become the right size for me and I'm so happy there is two choices I could have.
On both sides of the bag is a suede studded panel with a zip liner. I love this because it gives the bag a little edge to it.
Original price: £19.99, I paid: £15.99

(sorry for the bad picture)
The last thing i got from New Look was this scarf. It is a thin scarf that could be used as a belt or a hair band. Or even a bag accessory like I have done. It a gorgeous blue colour with little pink and grey flowers on it. I think it is so cute and I will use for my bags like this or use it as a hairband.
Original Price: £2.99, I Paid £2.39

So overall the full price without discount = £77.95
With the discount added the total was = £62.36
Which means i saved £15.59!!!
I love being a student!

And the best part was that I had a £30 gift voucher for New Look as a gift from Christmas. Which meant I only paid £32.36 of my own money.
LOVING LIFE!!

So one more thing, the sale in Topshop found me! I don't usually go in Topshop because its too expensive but the sale drove me in. And I found this!!

A gorgeous jumpsuit!
It is detailed with black lace with champagne coloured flowers. It is thicker then expected and it is just so cute on. The straps are adjustable which is a bonus and I'm just in LOVE!!
Sale price was £15 but Topshop being awsome as they are still giving me my student 10% discount on sale items it was £13.50
And again making me love life even more I have a Topshop gift card that I was given for my birthday. So I didn't technically pay for it at all! :)

I'm a very happy bunny right now! <3

Is the any amazing sale items or bargains you got recently? Whats your favourite item I got?
Let me know :) Thanks for reading!

Nails: Icy blue nails

Hi, So I love painting my nails and experimenting with different art and styles. So expect more nails posts in the future :)
I always paint my nails in bed before i go to sleep becuase i then get the best results when i wake up in the morning with no smudges and they are fully dry. :)
Last night because of all the snow and ice about this winter I decided to paint my nails in within theme.

 Photo
I painted them and icy blue with a stand out nail being a silver glitter polish!
The blue nail polish is Barbara Day in colour Ocean Ripple. I got this polish in Tesco many years ago for an inexpensive price. I'm hoping this is still around because I am running out. I love this colour because its not too bright or too bland. The polish itself is very good and I have found that it is one of my only polishes that will stay on for a good period of time without chipping as easily.
My glitter nail polish was from a huge nail set I got for my birthday a year ago so I have no name or anything for it unfortunately. I do love this polish as I feel I can use it to make any colour have some sparkle to it or paint a nail only having two or three coats to have a sparkly glittery nail. This one is a gel like polish so it isn't my favourite to use but it stays on very well and it can be quite easy to apply. that is why I chose this particular polish to use this time.

Unfortunately I lost some of my base coat and top coats from moving to uni then having a new room built at home. I am having to manage without either of these for now which doesn't help my nails as they are already quite dry and rough.
Do you have any Base and Top coats you could recommend? Any nail treatment that works out there? Let me know! :) Thanks for reading!

OOTD: A Snowy Library Day

Hi, My uni course is based at a college and today the college is closed due to snow. Yeyyy. However my best friend Emily (glitter and trauma) has decided to drag me to the university library to do dreaded work :( so this is my lazy and casual look today. And also my first OOTD on my blog and hopefully more to come.
My dress is actually a top I got on sale from new look for £6 (bargain!) it was the last one and was a much bigger size than mine, I got it anyway and i love it as dress than the top it would have been if it was my original size.
I am wearing two pairs of tights with the outfit to gave me extra warmth.
My hair is a bit all over the place today and i decided to do half up do to get hair off my face while studying.

I have my cross necklace on, I love this necklace as crosses are very fashionable at the moment but this particular one is slightly different and stands out much more than a simple cross.

I am wearing a cardigan a scarf for obvious reasons. I have small rings on today instead of my usual big ones. Also my rose gold, NY London Watch.
My primark studded boots. £20.
People have reservations about primark shoes but I have had these boots for about 5 months now and I have had no trouble from them and they are very comfortable and easy to wear.
I love this outfit because it can be quite casual and cute yet really comfortable which I need to be in the Library all day.

I have a semi- casual make-up look today. The make-up i do have on are:
Lush feeling younger
Lush Foundation (dark yellow)
Collection 2000 concealer
Natural Collection Bronzer
Mua blusher
Rimmel London Eyebrow pencil(not so good today)
Rimmel London Eye Definer
Rimmel London Scandaleyes mascara
Lush Glamorous Lipstick(check out my review)

was at the library for hours today :( stupid uni work!

What do you like to wear for these type of days? Let me know :)

What time is it?

Hi again, so i thought i would share with you the watches i own as i recently just bought myself a new one.

Ice Watch: Hot pink
This watch is the Ice watch in Hot pink. I got this Last year for my 18th birthday. I love this watch because it is so cute and the colour can make any outfit pop and stand out. I have had this watch just over a year now and as much as i still love it i decided to buy myself a new one.

Now i am a big fan of the micheal Kors rose gold watch, and being a uni student means it is impossible to afford one.
I found this gorgeous rose gold watch on ebay for £16.99
Now yes it is a fake watch however it is very unnoticeable for anybody to notice unless i told them. (i guess you now know :/) i did have to go get 5 links taken off as i have unusual small hands which cost me another £9.99 but it was worth it for it being able to fit.
I am now happy i have two different types of wathes i can have for different outfits. One to make an outfit pop and another to give a classy yet modern look.

what is your favourite type of watch to wear? let me know

Essentials: A Cosy Night In.

Hi, so with all this snow we have been getting I have been having some cosy nights in, so I thought I would share with you on what I need for a cosy night in during the winter.
Now most people would enjoy time in the living room with a blanket and the fire on, however being a uni student and living in student halls it is a bit difficult and I find being in bed with my duvet much more comforting. In the picture above are my essentials.
Hot Water Bottle! because they are just amazing in general.
The elephant in the picture was a Christmas present of my best friend, her name is Ellie (original right?) and she can be heated up. I usually put her in the microwave for around 3 minutes for the perfect heat, and a plus is that she smells of Lavender. Now if your like me and don't like a too strong of  smell then I have found that the 3 minutes in the microwave is also the perfect time for the lavender smell as well. She can be seen in Sainsburys for around £5.
Hot Chocolate! who doesn't love a mug of hot chocolate? Now i like mine without the whole cream and marshmallows but if you do, knock yourself out. I have recently been loving the options Belgium Chocolate. Whats your favourite tyoe of hot chocolate?
Junk Food! while its still January and still have the Christmas weight I feel like I can still knock myself out with crisps, sweets and chocolate. (naughty) If you have already started your new year diet unlike me then there are plenty of healthy snacks I'm sure you can find to cover your needs, and remember you can always treat yourself.
Disney DVDs! I am a sucker for Disney films and I have a wide range to watch. I don't care what, as long as its Disney I'm there! It doesn't matter what you watch, catching up on TV, or any film you want really, but watching my childhood favourites just makes the night even more comfortable and enjoyable!
Onesie! This is one of the onesie's I own and it was a Christmas present of my Mum. It's a new look onesie and the price was £22.99. A bit pricey but it is definitely my favourite onesie I own. The no feet, the pockets and hood make this onesie so much more comfortable and easier to wear. It is also very cute! It keeps you warm and when your cuddled up in bed it is so comfortable and it definitely adds to my definite essentials to be comfy and cosy for a night in!

So do you have these for your essentials? What do you like for a night in during this cold winter? Let me know :)

Review: Lush Glamorous Lipstick

One of my best friends works at Lush and has recently got me into a lot of their amazing products. She got me this lipstick for my birthday last week and after only using it a couple of times I have to say I am in love with it.
With Lush being animal friendly and Vegan is a huge plus for me as I am a vegetarian myself and I find it an important issue within beauty products.
This product is a lipstick but also can be used a cheek stain as well. The colours come in a wide range and many of them can be used as eye shadows. I love this bubblegum pink colour in particular and it gives your lips a very cute glow, especially in this winter. The lipstick itself can stay on for at least a couple of hours because it can stain your lips, however not to the point where it cant come off, as it will come off very easily. I love this as I usually hate having to constantly redo my lipstick or gloss and with this I know I can leave it for a couple of hours without worrying if it has smudged or came off. This colour is called Glamorous, every colour has a different name such as, in charge, healthy, calm and feeling secure, to name a few.
My only issue is the brush. It could just be me but I find the brush strange to use for a lipstick type product however it is something I will easily get the hang of.
The product can seem expensive at £14.50 but it is defiantly worth while and I can already tell it will last you quite some time. Luckily my best friend got me it for my birthday and because she works there she gets 50% off so I can use her discount sometimes. ;) even still this lipstick is becoming my favourite one. If you don't want to spend that money on something you might not like go in the store and have a look. Try it out. Lush are very good of giving samples and testers to nearly everything they sell.
My overall rating is 9/10
Have you tried this or other colours from Emotional Brilliance in Lush? let me know :)
